CLIENT

Blossom Together is a nonprofit organization with over 20 university chapters that supports humanitarian aid initiatives across Africa, including food distribution, clean water access, and cataract surgeries. The organization needed a redesigned digital presence that could better communicate its impact, engage a younger, student-driven audience, and provide a clear platform for donations, chapter involvement, and storytelling around past expeditions.

ROLE

I led the UX/UI redesign and digital strategy for the Blossom Together website, focusing on improving user experience, information architecture, and visual storytelling. My role included conducting user research and usability testing, identifying key pain points in navigation and engagement, and translating those insights into a structured, intuitive design. I designed end-to-end user flows for donating, joining or starting university chapters, and exploring past projects, while also developing a modern visual system that aligned with the organization’s mission and audience.

The redesigned platform significantly improved clarity, engagement, and usability by creating a more intuitive and visually compelling experience. Users were able to better understand the organization’s impact and take action more easily, leading to a 22% reduction in donor sign-up friction during testing and a 10% increase in overall site traffic. The new design positioned Blossom Together as a modern, student-focused nonprofit, strengthening its ability to attract donors, grow university chapters, and build a more connected community.

Design Decision: This insight led to a shift toward a more storytelling-driven and visually engaging experience. The redesign prioritized a project gallery, clearer navigation, and dedicated sections for university chapters, allowing users to both understand the organization’s impact and see themselves within it.
